Mission Statement
The Austrian Architectural Foundation is a common public platform for Austrian architectural initiatives. Along with statutory professional associations and educational faculties, independent architectural initiatives constitute an important third pillar for upholding our building culture. The network of architectural initiatives is dedicated to high-level architecture and to furthering the understanding of contemporary architecture among individuals in the fields of politics and administration, as well as in the general public. Goal is to arouse people’s enthusiasm and make them knowledgeable and exacting partners in the planning and design of our built environment. Networking strengthens cooperation between architecture’s most important players – builders and users, architects, planners and engineers, contracting companies from industry and trade, as well as those responsible in politics and administration.
The network for building culture
• coordinates and consolidates regional activities aimed at promoting architecture
• enables the Austrian-wide transfer of information and professional know-how
• acts as a lobby for building culture on a national and international level
• offers over-regional consulting for industry and trade
